* Exported from MasterCook * Dave's Whipped cream frosting Recipe By : Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 tablespoons cold water 1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin 2 cups heavy cream 4 tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 package vanilla pudding mix -- instant 1 3/4 cups half and half Pour the cold water into a heat proof cup. Sprinkle with the gelatin. Let gelatin soften 5 minutes without stirring. Heat gelatin mixture in microwave, stirring often, until all the gelatin is dissolved. Let cool to room temperature. Pour the cream, sugar and vanilla into a chilled bowl and beat until it begins to thicken (I usually stop when you can see beater marks). Gradually add the gelatin and beat until peaks form. Prepare the vanilla pudding as per package instructions using the half and half in place of the milk.
